About Me

I am a servant leader who still get into the thick of things whenever necessary! I enjoy and value collaboration and the team approach, utilize the best information and data for decision making, and deploy technology for efficient and effective work environment. My passion is seeing people reach their goals. My contribution to the process is to promote equity, create opportunities, and mentor so that members of my community, regardless of their background, can achieve success. Being in higher education and Student Affairs have given me an unique vantage point from which I can positively influence students from K-12 or adult learners looking for a new skills complete their educational goals towards their careers and livelihood.

Current work

I currently serves as the Vice President of Student Services and Title IX Coordinator at Berkeley City College. As VPSS, my primary responsibilities include the administration of all student services including Counseling, Admissions, Records, Financial Aid, Student Life, and related federal and categorical student services program. Along with my managers, I am responsible for articulating the program objectives to administration, faculty, students and community to insure dialogue and feedback to support current programs and innovations, program assessments, and development of learning objectives. I work closely and collaboratively with the administration, faculty, staff, and students to insure the coordination of services to students that complement the College s goals and student success. I am responsible for providing leadership in establishing priorities and developing strategies for implementation of program goals and objectives including strategic planning, enrollment management, and retention and success concepts at the college. My office ensures compliance with federal and state laws, not limited to Title VII, Title IX, Section 504, and FERPA.
